LIFETIME PARTS GUARANTEE TERMS

KADUNZA EUROPEAN AUTO SERVICE

Lifetime Parts Guarantee

Qualifying parts supplied and installed by Kadunza are protected by our Lifetime Parts Guarantee for as long as the original purchasing customer continuously owns the vehicle.

The Lifetime Parts Guarantee provides parts-only coverage after the applicable Kadunza Parts & Labor Warranty has expired and is subject to the complete eligibility requirements, exclusions, claim procedures, authorization requirements, and maximum benefits below.

1. When Lifetime Parts Coverage Begins

The Lifetime Parts Guarantee applies to qualifying parts supplied and installed by Kadunza as part of an eligible repair.

Each qualifying part is associated with the repair completion date and vehicle mileage shown on the final Kadunza repair order for that repair.

During any applicable Kadunza Parts & Labor Warranty period, qualifying repairs remain subject to the terms of that warranty.

Once the applicable Parts & Labor Warranty expires, qualifying parts continue under the Lifetime Parts Guarantee for as long as the original purchasing customer continuously owns the vehicle.

2. What "Lifetime" Means

For purposes of this Guarantee, "Lifetime" means:

For as long as the original purchasing customer continuously owns the vehicle on which the qualifying part was originally installed.

"Lifetime" does not mean:

  • The lifetime of the vehicle;
  • The lifetime of the replacement part;
  • The lifetime of Kadunza European Auto Service; or
  • The lifetime of any subsequent vehicle owner.

The Lifetime Parts Guarantee is non-transferable.

Coverage ends when the original purchasing customer sells, trades, gifts, transfers, or otherwise relinquishes ownership of the vehicle.

3. What The Lifetime Parts Guarantee Provides

If a qualifying covered part experiences a covered failure after expiration of the applicable Parts & Labor Warranty, Kadunza will provide or authorize an eligible replacement part at no charge for the part itself, subject to all terms and limitations contained in this Guarantee.

The Lifetime Parts Guarantee is parts-only coverage.

After the applicable Parts & Labor Warranty has expired, the customer is responsible for costs associated with replacing the covered part, including but not limited to:

  • Labor
  • Diagnosis and testing
  • Removal and installation
  • Programming
  • Coding
  • Calibration
  • Fluids
  • Oil
  • Coolant
  • Refrigerant
  • Shop supplies
  • Taxes
  • Towing
  • Transportation
  • Additional repairs
  • Other related charges

unless Kadunza expressly agrees otherwise in writing.

4. Qualifying Parts

The Lifetime Parts Guarantee may apply to qualifying parts supplied and installed by Kadunza, including many:

  • Mechanical replacement components
  • Electrical replacement components
  • Engine-management components
  • Cooling-system components
  • Fuel-system components
  • Starting and charging components
  • Steering and suspension components
  • Belts
  • Gaskets
  • Seals
  • O-rings
  • Sealing rings
  • Other qualifying sealing components

Not every part installed by Kadunza qualifies for Lifetime Parts coverage.

Kadunza may designate individual parts, categories of parts, assemblies, or repairs as having different warranty terms.

If the customer's final repair order states warranty terms different from this Guarantee for a particular component, the warranty stated for that specific component controls.

5. Belts, Gaskets, Seals, And Sealing Components

Qualifying belts, gaskets, seals, O-rings, sealing rings, and similar sealing components supplied and installed by Kadunza may receive Lifetime Parts coverage.

Coverage applies to a qualifying covered failure of the part itself.

Coverage does not apply when failure is caused or materially contributed to by another condition, including but not limited to:

  • Excessive crankcase pressure
  • Overheating
  • Oil contamination
  • Coolant contamination
  • Chemical contamination
  • Fluid contamination
  • Misalignment
  • Failure of another pulley or component
  • Excessive pressure
  • Improper maintenance
  • External damage
  • Modification
  • Improper installation
  • Improper outside repair
  • Another mechanical condition

6. Items That Do Not Receive Lifetime Parts Coverage

Normal maintenance, consumable, and wear items generally do not receive Lifetime Parts coverage, including but not limited to:

  • Brake pads
  • Brake shoes
  • Brake rotors
  • Brake drums
  • Tires
  • Batteries
  • Wiper blades
  • Light bulbs
  • Fuses
  • Filters
  • Spark plugs
  • Fluids
  • Oils
  • Refrigerant
  • Additives
  • Clutch friction components
  • Alignment services
  • Wheel balancing
  • Routine maintenance services
  • Adjustment services
  • Cleaning services

A part that is excluded from Lifetime Parts coverage may still carry separate protection under an applicable Kadunza Parts & Labor Warranty, manufacturer warranty, supplier warranty, or other written warranty.

7. Major Assemblies And Specialty Components

Certain major assemblies, specialty components, or high-value parts may carry warranty terms different from the Lifetime Parts Guarantee.

These may include:

  • Engines
  • Transmissions
  • Transfer cases
  • Differentials
  • Turbochargers
  • Superchargers
  • Hybrid battery assemblies
  • Electric vehicle battery assemblies
  • High-voltage components
  • Remanufactured major assemblies
  • Used components
  • Specialty electronics
  • Performance components

Coverage for these items is determined by the warranty stated on the applicable repair order and/or the applicable manufacturer or supplier warranty.

8. Customer-Supplied And Used Parts

Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing:

Customer-supplied parts are not eligible for the Kadunza Lifetime Parts Guarantee.

Kadunza is not responsible for replacement of a customer-supplied part because of:

  • Component failure;
  • Incorrect application;
  • Improper fitment;
  • Incompatibility; or
  • A manufacturing defect.

Used or salvage parts receive only the coverage specifically stated on the repair order.

9. What Is Covered

The Lifetime Parts Guarantee covers qualifying failures resulting from a covered defect in an eligible part originally supplied and installed by Kadunza.

Coverage applies only to the qualifying originally installed component.

A covered part failure does not automatically create coverage for:

  • Related vehicle systems;
  • Additional components;
  • Pre-existing conditions;
  • Maintenance needs;
  • Consequential damage; or
  • Other repairs.

10. What Is Not Covered

The Lifetime Parts Guarantee does not cover part failure, damage, or replacement caused or materially contributed to by circumstances unrelated to a covered defect in the qualifying part, including but not limited to:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Improper or insufficient maintenance
  • Failure to maintain proper fluid levels
  • Overheating
  • Oil starvation
  • Lack of lubrication
  • Continued vehicle operation after a warning or known mechanical problem
  • Failure of another vehicle component
  • Collision
  • Impact damage
  • Road hazards
  • Flood or water damage
  • Fire
  • Environmental damage
  • Rodent or animal damage
  • Corrosion
  • Abuse
  • Misuse
  • Neglect
  • Improper operation
  • Racing
  • Competition
  • Track use
  • Timed events
  • Improper off-road use
  • Towing or loading beyond manufacturer specifications
  • Vehicle modification
  • Performance modification
  • Aftermarket tuning or programming
  • Installation of incompatible equipment
  • External contamination
  • Tampering
  • Improper outside repair
  • Improper removal or installation
  • Improper torque procedures
  • Improper sealing
  • Improper electrical connection
  • Improper programming or coding
  • Improper calibration
  • Improper adjustment
  • Improper reassembly

11. Call Kadunza First

If you believe a part covered by the Lifetime Parts Guarantee has failed, contact Kadunza before another repair facility removes, replaces, disassembles, repairs, or disposes of the potentially covered component whenever reasonably possible.

Kadunza must be provided a reasonable opportunity to inspect, diagnose, or otherwise evaluate the suspected covered failure.

Having another repair facility inspect or service the vehicle does not, by itself, automatically void Lifetime Parts coverage.

However, Kadunza may deny coverage when outside work:

  • Causes or materially contributes to the failure;
  • Damages or alters the component;
  • Destroys or changes evidence relevant to determining the cause of failure;
  • Contaminates the component;
  • Prevents Kadunza from evaluating the component in its failed condition; or
  • Makes it reasonably impossible to determine whether the original failure qualifies for coverage.

12. Replacement Must Be Provided Through Kadunza Or An Authorized Facility

To receive a replacement part under the Kadunza Lifetime Parts Guarantee, the customer must contact Kadunza before replacement of the suspected covered component whenever reasonably possible.

The replacement part must be supplied by:

Kadunza European Auto Service

and must be installed by:

Kadunza European Auto Service

or

A qualified repair facility specifically authorized by Kadunza for that claim.

When the vehicle is reasonably accessible to a Kadunza location, Kadunza may require the vehicle to be returned to Kadunza for inspection and replacement.

Kadunza is not responsible for the cost of a replacement part independently purchased or installed by the customer or another repair facility without prior Kadunza authorization, except where:

  • Prior authorization was not reasonably possible because of a genuine emergency; or
  • Applicable law requires otherwise.

The customer's use of another repair facility for unrelated maintenance or repairs does not, by itself, void the Lifetime Parts Guarantee.

13. Nationwide Coverage

Your Lifetime Parts Guarantee travels with you.

Qualifying Lifetime Parts coverage is available nationwide throughout the United States.

If a potentially covered part fails while the vehicle is away from a Kadunza location, the customer must contact Kadunza before authorizing replacement whenever reasonably possible.

Kadunza may:

  • Review diagnostic information;
  • Request photographs or video;
  • Communicate with the servicing repair facility;
  • Authorize diagnosis;
  • Authorize another qualified facility to perform the replacement;
  • Supply an approved replacement component;
  • Arrange shipment of the replacement part;
  • Request inspection of the failed component; or
  • Provide another reasonable warranty remedy.

An estimate, diagnosis, recommendation, or statement from another repair facility does not by itself constitute approval of a Lifetime Parts claim.

14. Preservation Of Failed Parts

If another repair facility removes a potentially covered component before Kadunza can inspect it, the customer should instruct the facility to preserve the failed part.

Kadunza may require the component to be:

  • Retained by the repair facility;
  • Photographed;
  • Inspected by Kadunza;
  • Returned to Kadunza; or
  • Made available for manufacturer or supplier inspection.

Do not discard a potentially covered failed part until Kadunza authorizes its disposal.

Disposal, destruction, alteration, loss, or failure to preserve the component may result in denial of coverage if Kadunza can no longer reasonably determine the cause of failure.

15. Maximum Lifetime Parts Benefit

Lifetime Parts coverage for each qualifying repair is subject to the value of the original covered repair.

Kadunza's maximum aggregate financial responsibility for warranty benefits arising from a qualifying original repair will not exceed the amount the customer originally paid Kadunza for that specific covered repair, as shown on the final repair order or invoice.

If an invoice includes multiple independent repairs, the benefit limit applies to the amount originally charged for the specific repair associated with the covered part, not the entire invoice.

Multiple claims or replacements related to the same original repair do not create a new or additional benefit limit.

Amounts paid or benefits provided by Kadunza in connection with the original repair reduce the remaining available aggregate benefit.

Replacement of a component does not reset or increase the original repair-value limit.

Nothing in this section limits a right or remedy that applicable law does not permit Kadunza to limit.

16. Determining Coverage

Kadunza will determine whether a Lifetime Parts claim qualifies for coverage based on reasonably available information, which may include:

  • Vehicle inspection
  • Component inspection
  • Diagnostic testing
  • Technician findings
  • Photographs or video
  • Repair history
  • Service records
  • Maintenance records
  • Outside repair invoices
  • Programming or coding records
  • Manufacturer findings
  • Supplier findings
  • Failed-component analysis
  • Other reasonably relevant evidence

The customer must reasonably cooperate with Kadunza's evaluation of the claim.

Kadunza may deny coverage when reasonably reliable evidence demonstrates that an excluded condition caused or materially contributed to the failure.

17. Diagnostic And Labor Costs

The Lifetime Parts Guarantee provides parts-only coverage.

Unless otherwise expressly authorized by Kadunza in writing, the customer is responsible for:

  • Diagnosis
  • Inspection
  • Testing
  • Disassembly
  • Reassembly
  • Removal
  • Installation
  • Programming
  • Coding
  • Calibration
  • Fluids
  • Shop supplies
  • Taxes
  • Labor
  • Other related charges

whether the replacement is performed by Kadunza or an authorized outside repair facility.

18. Replacement Parts

Kadunza may satisfy a Lifetime Parts obligation using an appropriate:

  • New component;
  • Remanufactured component; or
  • Equivalent-quality replacement component.

Kadunza is not required to provide a replacement part of greater performance, specification, or value than the originally covered component.

If the original component has been discontinued or is unavailable, Kadunza may provide a reasonably equivalent replacement.

19. Manufacturer And Supplier Warranties

Certain parts supplied by Kadunza may also carry protection from a manufacturer, distributor, or supplier.

Kadunza may use an applicable manufacturer or supplier warranty to satisfy all or part of its obligation under the Lifetime Parts Guarantee.

The existence of a manufacturer or supplier warranty does not expand the benefits provided by this Guarantee unless Kadunza expressly agrees otherwise in writing.

20. Towing, Rental Vehicles, Travel, And Transportation

Unless expressly authorized by Kadunza in writing, the Lifetime Parts Guarantee does not cover:

  • Towing
  • Roadside assistance
  • Rental vehicles
  • Rideshare expenses
  • Vehicle transportation
  • Lodging
  • Meals
  • Travel expenses
  • Storage expenses

Separate manufacturer, insurance, supplier, or roadside-assistance programs may provide such benefits.

21. Commercial, Fleet, Performance, And Special-Use Vehicles

Unless otherwise expressly stated in writing, vehicles primarily used for:

  • Commercial service;
  • Rental service;
  • Rideshare;
  • Delivery;
  • Fleet service;
  • Racing;
  • Competition;
  • Track use;
  • Driver education; or
  • Other unusually severe-duty applications

may be excluded from the Lifetime Parts Guarantee or may receive different warranty terms stated on the repair order.

22. Customer Responsibilities

To receive benefits under the Lifetime Parts Guarantee, the customer is responsible for:

  • Promptly reporting a suspected covered failure;
  • Taking reasonable steps to prevent additional damage;
  • Discontinuing vehicle operation when continued use could reasonably cause further damage;
  • Contacting Kadunza before authorizing replacement whenever reasonably possible;
  • Providing Kadunza a reasonable opportunity to evaluate the failed part;
  • Preserving the potentially covered component when requested;
  • Providing proof of the original repair when reasonably requested;
  • Providing reasonably available service and maintenance records; and
  • Obtaining Kadunza authorization before incurring expenses for which reimbursement is requested.

Damage resulting from continued operation after the customer knew or reasonably should have known that a serious mechanical problem existed is not covered.

23. Guarantee Remedy

For an approved Lifetime Parts claim, Kadunza will determine the reasonable remedy necessary to satisfy the parts-only obligation.

Kadunza may:

  • Supply an eligible replacement part;
  • Authorize shipment of an eligible replacement part;
  • Supply the replacement part to an authorized repair facility;
  • Use an applicable manufacturer or supplier warranty; or
  • Provide another substantially equivalent parts-only remedy.

The Lifetime Parts Guarantee does not entitle the customer to:

  • Free installation labor after expiration of the Parts & Labor Warranty;
  • An upgraded component;
  • A refund of the original repair;
  • A replacement vehicle;
  • Reimbursement for unauthorized replacement parts; or
  • Payment for unrelated repairs.

24. Incidental And Consequential Losses

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Kadunza is not responsible under the Lifetime Parts Guarantee for incidental or consequential expenses or losses, including:

  • Loss of vehicle use
  • Lost wages
  • Lost business income
  • Vehicle depreciation
  • Diminished vehicle value
  • Storage charges
  • Damage to personal property
  • Travel expenses
  • Lodging
  • Meals
  • Transportation expenses

This limitation applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

25. Other Legal Rights

The Kadunza Lifetime Parts Guarantee gives the customer specific legal rights.

Customers may also have additional rights under applicable federal or state law.

Any limitation, exclusion, condition, or remedy contained in this Guarantee that applicable law prohibits will be interpreted only to the maximum extent permitted by law.

The invalidity or unenforceability of any individual provision does not invalidate the remaining provisions.
