Boasting a classic Craftsman-style front porch, this guest house provides an elegant setting for both indoor and outdoor gatherings.

Featuring a spacious meeting room, a fully equipped kitchen, changing facilities, two restrooms, and expansive front and back porches, the guest house offers ample space and convenience. Additionally, parking is abundant, and a limited number of tables and chairs are included in the rental. Our rental fees are adaptable, and tailored to the event’s size, date, time, and specific setup. Discounted rates are available for local community-based nonprofits and members of the Mabry-Hazen House.

Celebrate your special day amidst the timeless charm of the Mabry-Hazen House, a stately Italianate-style home built in 1858 that preserves an era of grace while setting the stage for new memories.

Perched just east of downtown Knoxville, Mabry’s Hill provides a picturesque setting with convenient access to I-40. Positioned atop the highest hill north of the Tennessee River, it presents breathtaking vistas of the Great Smoky Mountains to the south and Knoxville’s skyline to the west. Sprawling over seven acres, the Mabry-Hazen House predominantly serves as an outdoor venue, offering a secluded green space away from the downtown hustle. The property proudly hosts a Level 1 arboretum, boasting thirty-two distinct tree species.

Complementing the historic home and its grounds, a 1924 Arts and Crafts-style guest house and a charming gazebo are available as part of any rental package. Our facilities cater to various functions, including weddings, teas, and parties, accommodating approximately 250 guests. Embracing diversity, we proudly extend a warm welcome to the LGBTQ+ community.

Rental rates fluctuate based on the event’s size and the day of the week. Collaborating with All Occasions Party Rentals ensures we meet all your equipment needs. Proceeds from rentals contribute directly to the ongoing preservation of this historic site and the development of new educational and cultural programs.

Capture the timeless beauty of Mabry’s Hill through professional photography sessions available year-round. Our grounds welcome public use from sunrise to sunset, with a suggested $20 contribution for one-time use by professional photographers. This donation grants access to the entire outdoor campus. Additionally, for an extra $20 donation, photographers gain the opportunity to capture images on the historic staircase. For interior photography sessions, coordination with the Executive Director is necessary.

➤ $20: Recommended donation for a single outdoor photo shoot session.

➤ $100 – Photographer’s Pass: Enjoy one year of access to the site for professional photography. This pass allows unlimited outdoor shoots and, subject to scheduling with the Executive Director, includes the possibility of interior photography sessions.
